Century’s roll tooling must attain 3 levels of accuracy checks during the manufacturing process:

1) Each roll segment is held to strict manufacturing tolerances

2) The segments are then assembled into stations or passes and gauged for relative fit with other segments in the pass

3) Finally, the entire tool set is assembled with any accessory components required, as an integral unit on our tryout machines and adjusted for accuracy and performance by experienced craftsmen. Granite surface plates are used as required to check for proper material clearance through the roll tooling.
